Survivor Series Gone

"We think that Survivor Series is obsolete, as far as the title is concerned," McMahon said. It was something that worked many many years ago, in terms of a creative standpoint, various teams competing. That really is not advantageous as the consumer now looks as what actually they are buying. And it's such a broad....Survivor Series, yes, many, many years ago, was one of the original four pay-per-views, but it's outlasted it's usage and it is one of the things in terms of rebranding, this year and going forward, that will be rebranded. No longer will we have that title, Survivor Series."

As you can see, Mr McMahon has decided that there will not be another Survivor Series. The event will still happen but it will more then likely end up like most of the pay-per-views, a themed one. There are several options as to what may replace Survivor Series with the options being....
  • A King of the Ring style Event
  • Battle Bowl
  • Money In The Bank
  • Nigh of Legends with stars of yesteryear
  • Spin The Wheel
  • The Yearly Draft
  • A Street Fight theme
  • War Games
Now, I would like to see King of the Ring back. As most wrestling fans know, William Regal was the last wrestler to become King of the Ring back in 2008. Just before he got suspended I must say (LOL) but still. I cant see a Money in the Bank, Street Fight or the yearly draft being in this spot though. My reasoning being is that Money In the Bank happens at Wrestlemania and so why we would need more events like this I do not know. Street Fights wouldn't go down too well with the PG rating that WWE is trying to hide behind and the yearly draft, to me, is something that really is left up to a normal taping (3 hours but still). I just don't want to see it at that particular time.
I really couldn't tell you what I think because I really don't know. I will have to ponder this for a while I think.

Until next time, you know you love me xoxo
