ECW dead!

Hey there everyone,
If you watched WWE over the last couple of nights you would've seen that Vince McMahon has basically killed off ECW and is replacing it with a new brand called WWE NXT which is supposed to stand for Next Generation. It's supposed to start in 3 weeks time in the same time slot as ECW was.
In my opinion, I think that thats what he did to ECW and I am glad that now ECW has been put to rest peacefully. It's been, in my opinion, turned into this already by the bringing in of new talent from everywhere and their first port-of-call is ECW. It's sad really because ECW was such a great concept. I do like the old ECW. The innovation....Brilliant! The lifestyle.....Fantastic! And counter culture it was! I loved the old ECW and I am proud to say that.
Now, Tommy Dreamer and Taz, former members of the old ECW, have weighed in on whats happening via twitter messages.
  • Tommy wrote "Many people asked me why I left WWE. If you watched ECW tonight, a piece of the puzzle was revealed for my actions. Stay tuned."
  • Taz wrote "So, WWE ending their 'vision' of ECW (thank god). ANY ORIG ECW wrestlers get a thanks? How about Paul Heyman did he get a thanks? Classy move!"
Taz also wrote a blog explaining his twitter message and what he meant by it. He basically just puts forward the question about why WWE, in particular Vince, didn't really seem to acknowledge the hard workers of ECW (like Paul Heyman!) and could WWE perhaps make a video package to give ECW the proper send off they deserve?
I think that they should. It'd be the right thing to do. It's a company that brought the likes of the Dudley Boys, Taz, Tommy Dreamer and STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN! to the foreground and made these guys huge! And Stone Cold I imagine would be proud to say he was part of the old ECW!
Thats just my opinion anyway.

Until next time everyone, you know you love me xoxo
