Just thought I would bring you some of the wrestling worlds gossip for this week so far......
First up is Awesome Kong. Kong asked for her release a little while back (click here) over a couple of things but her request has been denied. The issues that Kong have with TNA is what happened in the one sided altercation between her and Bubba The Love Sponge over his comments about Haiti and pay. The pay situation thats Kong feels very strongly about is she believes TNA are spending more money on the new comers and to superstars such as Tara and Christy Hemme who have a history with WWE. She is said to be extremely touchy on this and there is even some heat over it between her and TNA.
Next is Joey Mercury. Rumor going around is that Joey will return to WWE soon. If and when he comes back, it's looking like he will go to Smackdown and join CM Punk's Straight-Edge Society. Joey was released back in 2007 over his very dangerous addiction to pain killers to which he has been to rehab for and sources say that this will be worked into the storyline. Only time will tell on this one.
Rumor has it that Scott Steiner and TNA have parted ways. Scott's profile has been taken off the TNA stars page which is leading people to believe that he has been released. His status within the company has been in question for months and maybe now, we shall see some answers.
Coming up this Valentines Day is the TNA pay-per-view 'Against All Odds'. There have been 2 matches already announced with them being....
- Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles (c) for the TNA Heavyweight Championship
- Nasty Boys vs. Team 3D
