Jeff Hardy Situation

  • Embarrassed
  • Upset
  • Unhappy
  • Bad
  • Problems
  • Concerned
  • Humiliated
  • Struggles
  • Pathetic
  • Hardship
  • Disappointed
These are all words relating to Jeff Hardy and his life right now. He is currently facing multiple charges relating to drugs and has had an ongoing trial since 2009. His performance at TNA's pay-per-view 'Victory Road' was less than his normal 5 star match. Many people are calling for him to be fired.  So where does this leave him?

On September 11, 2009 Jeff Hardy was found to be in possession of multiple drugs which included:
  • 262 doses of Vicodin
  • 180 Soma prescription pills
  • 55 millilitres of anabolic steroids
  • Residual amount of cocaine and
  • drug paraphanalia
He has since been charged with "....trafficking in opium, 2 counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphenalia." (link)
Despite it now being over 18 months later since he was first charged the trial is still going on with the district attorney asking for a continuance pending the results of lab tests on some of the evidence that was taken from Jeff's home.

At TNA's pay-per-view 'Victory Road' last week, Jeff Hardy was deemed by many to be 'unable to wrestle' and should have been pulled from his match (which was a WORLD TITLE SHOT!) with Sting.
Some sources say that Jeff was late to the building on the day and that he was 'apparently' found lying down in the bathroom. Other sources say that "He was fine all day and then no one could find him...".
Regarding his match at the show, heres my rundown on what I saw (via Youtube..... :D )
  • 0:07-Hardy's music starts
  • 0:52 Hardy appears, taking his time, slow, stumbling, fans still appreaciate him
  • 2:51-Looks like he's limping, might be injured......
  • 7:34- First bell sounds, Stings looking frustrated as Jeff decides where to throw his shirt
  • 9:03-First final bell rings, Sting is declared winner
Many people are saying that when Sting was walking up the ramp after he won the match he looked rathe 'peed off' but many have also said he was professional about the whole situation. Eric Bischoff was also praised with many as he called an 'audible' (if anyone can tell me what that means can you please tell me?) and also how quickly he responded to the situation.

Now, for my point of view.
Honestly, I'm a little confused. I don't know whether to believe it being himself or whther he is just in his 'anti-christ' persona. I'm leaning more towards the character side of things because I don't believe that someone who has recently gotten married and has a child would be like this. Maybe before those but not now.
As I said during the run down of the video, I think Jeff looks like he's injured. It's a possibility. To me, that may be whats happening but the only person who knows that for sure is Jeff.
And also, in regards to whether or not he should be released, I don't think so. Jeff is huge drawcard at his best and I believe that if he was nurtured back to 100% then it would be huge. I also think that TNA also need to put into place a wellness policy so that incidents, should they occur, could be dealt with accordingly.
Maybe it's just me, but I personally, in this situation, would like to believe the saying "Innocent until proven guilty."

Thats all I have to say for now.
Hope you enjoyed the reading and remember,
You know you love me
