Battleground results

Howdy there everyone,

Hope you are all well. After yesterday I am ECSTATIC! The results of ‘Battleground’ semi went my way yesterday. YAY!

Here are the results in order…..

  • Kick-off Show
    Dolph Ziggler def. Damien Sandow
  • Battleground Hardcore Rules for the World Heavyweight Championship Match
Alberto Del Rio © def. Rob Van Dam
  • Real Americans (Jack Swagger/Antonio Cesaro) w/ Zeb Coulter def. The Great Khali/Santino Marella w/ Hornswoggle (impromptu match)
  • Intercontinental Championship Match
    Curtis Axel © w/Paul Heyman def. R-Truth
  • Diva’s Championship Match
AJ Lee © def. Brie Bella
  • Cody Rhodes/Goldust w/ Dusty Rhodes def. Seth Rollins/Roman reigns w/ Dean Ambrose to regain/keep their jobs within the WWE
  • Kofi Kingston def. Bray Wyatt
  • CM Punk def. Ryback
  • WWE Championship Match
Both Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton were knocked out by Big Show so the match went to a no contest. still no champion….. Sad smile

Honestly, I was soooooo uber stoked when the Rhodes family won. I was jumping around and generally making a fool of myself. It was such an emotional match to watch knowing that their jobs depended on it. Awesome match.
As for the WWE Championship match…..SERIOUSLY! Why would you do that 2 PPV’s in a row! Still no champion…… That’s BS even by my standards…….. Sorry WWE but that’s how you lose people.
Other then that, the PPV was pretty uneventful for me. Just the 2 matches that caught my interest were the best ones Smile

Anyway, that is all from me for now.
Have fun and take care.

Dolph Ziggler Wins! (Finally!)

Howdy there everyone,

As you can possibly gather from my post on Monday OMG!, Dolph Ziggler is no longer Mr. Money In The Bank, he is the new WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Ziggler successfully cashed in on Alberto Del Rio after the champ had successfully defended his title against Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter. Jack had done quite alot of damage to the leg of the then champion which Ziggler also focused on during his match with him.
Ziggy (Thanks John Morrison for that Smile ), was accompanied by Ms. AJ Lee and Big E Langston (when is he not these days) and when he won, both hopped in the ring and celebrated with him.

Honestly, I have been waiting for this moment. I think Dolph deserved it and you could tell the emotions that were showing were real. Awesome moment. I remember that after the terrible start to RAW (Miz losing his Intercontinental Championship 24 hours after he won it!) I was so excited that Dolph won! I was running round the house and it made going to work a whole lot better. I was so super duper happy Smile Congrats to Dolph Ziggler, the new WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

Wrestlemania Matches

Howdy there everyone,

Hope your all well. I’m excited. The week before Wrestlemania is always fun and exciting for me. I love it. Some of my work colleagues and some friends have been talking to me about it and I have to say that they doubt some of my picks. So we shall see what happens Smile

Anyway, here are my picks for Wrestlemania next week (picks in bold as usual)…

  • WWE Championship Match (Once In A Lifetime part II)
    Rock © vs. John Cena
  • World Heavyweight Championship Match
Alberto Del Rio © vs. Jack Swagger
  • Pre Show-Intercontinental Championship Match
Wade Barrett © vs. The Miz
  • Wrestlemania Streak on the Line
    Undertaker vs. CM Punk
  • Tag Team Championship Match
Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) © vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston
  • Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
  • Ryback vs. Mark Henry
  • The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. Team WWE (Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show)
  • Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
-If Triple H loses, he must retire
  • Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai) & The Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes and Damian Sandow) & The Bella Twins

Now, I know I’m going to cop alot of flak here because of some of my choices but just let me explain a few things.

Rock, in my opinion, doesn’t deserve to be champion. He came back, asked for a title shot, and got it. Seriously! He doesn’t deserve to be the champ and I do hope that Cena wins this one. Mind you, I am also hoping that should Rock somehow win, that Dolph Ziggler cashes in his Money In The Bank contract on him and become champ. Do you guys realize how much heat he would cop if he did that to the PEOPLE’S CHAMP! That’d be awesome! I do think that whoever wins will get Dolph cashing in on them, either at Wrestlemania or the RAW after.

In terms of Undertaker vs. CM Punk, I do believe that Punk has what it takes to beat Taker. It would just compliment his moniker of “I’m The Best In The World” and he could cement that by beating the Undertaker, who let’s face it, hasn’t got that many Wrestlemania’s left in him.

Brock Lesnar I know will absolutely ANNIHALATE Triple H. There is no way Triple H will walk out of that match un-assisted. When you fight Brock Lesnar, that is exactly what you get, a FIGHT! And the fact that it’s a no holds barred match means it works more in his favour.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango. When I first heard about this match I was like WTF! Seriously! Now, I am actually quite enjoying the idea of this match. I like the idea that it’s based on when Chris did Dancing With The Stars. I think Fandango can actually pull this off because Chris is going on tour with Fozzy after Wrestlemania so he won’t be there for much longer and he can actually teach Fandango a thing or two. Could actually be a good match. A really good match if done right Smile

Anyway, there are my picks for Wrestlemania. We shall see what else happens between now and then.

Hope you all have fun and take care.

Return of 2 greats, a match at the top of the world...

Well, I was just reading one of my other posts and I came across something that caught my eye. I haven't told you some of the most important news in WWE............

CHRISTIAN CAGE HAS RETURNED TO WWE!!!!!!

I couldn't believe it when I read it. I was so happy. Finally my dreams have been answered!!!! Both Christian and Tomko have returned (although Tomko is currently out with a shoulder injury, hoping to return to training as soon as possible!). I couldn't be more happy. Actually, yeah I am. You see, When Christian returned, he came back to ECW. The current champion is Jack Swagger (yuck) and Christian said that whoever won the ECW Championship at No Way Out (A match between Finlay and Jack which the latter won), he would challenge for the title. Now, we have a match lined up for Wrestlemania 25 when Christian Cage versus Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship! Yay.
