Wrestlemania Matches

Howdy there everyone,

Hope your all well. I’m excited. The week before Wrestlemania is always fun and exciting for me. I love it. Some of my work colleagues and some friends have been talking to me about it and I have to say that they doubt some of my picks. So we shall see what happens Smile

Anyway, here are my picks for Wrestlemania next week (picks in bold as usual)…

  • WWE Championship Match (Once In A Lifetime part II)
    Rock © vs. John Cena
  • World Heavyweight Championship Match
Alberto Del Rio © vs. Jack Swagger
  • Pre Show-Intercontinental Championship Match
Wade Barrett © vs. The Miz
  • Wrestlemania Streak on the Line
    Undertaker vs. CM Punk
  • Tag Team Championship Match
Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) © vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston
  • Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
  • Ryback vs. Mark Henry
  • The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. Team WWE (Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show)
  • Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
-If Triple H loses, he must retire
  • Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai) & The Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes and Damian Sandow) & The Bella Twins

Now, I know I’m going to cop alot of flak here because of some of my choices but just let me explain a few things.

Rock, in my opinion, doesn’t deserve to be champion. He came back, asked for a title shot, and got it. Seriously! He doesn’t deserve to be the champ and I do hope that Cena wins this one. Mind you, I am also hoping that should Rock somehow win, that Dolph Ziggler cashes in his Money In The Bank contract on him and become champ. Do you guys realize how much heat he would cop if he did that to the PEOPLE’S CHAMP! That’d be awesome! I do think that whoever wins will get Dolph cashing in on them, either at Wrestlemania or the RAW after.

In terms of Undertaker vs. CM Punk, I do believe that Punk has what it takes to beat Taker. It would just compliment his moniker of “I’m The Best In The World” and he could cement that by beating the Undertaker, who let’s face it, hasn’t got that many Wrestlemania’s left in him.

Brock Lesnar I know will absolutely ANNIHALATE Triple H. There is no way Triple H will walk out of that match un-assisted. When you fight Brock Lesnar, that is exactly what you get, a FIGHT! And the fact that it’s a no holds barred match means it works more in his favour.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango. When I first heard about this match I was like WTF! Seriously! Now, I am actually quite enjoying the idea of this match. I like the idea that it’s based on when Chris did Dancing With The Stars. I think Fandango can actually pull this off because Chris is going on tour with Fozzy after Wrestlemania so he won’t be there for much longer and he can actually teach Fandango a thing or two. Could actually be a good match. A really good match if done right Smile

Anyway, there are my picks for Wrestlemania. We shall see what else happens between now and then.

Hope you all have fun and take care.

Brad Maddox Story, my way

As you may, or may not have heard, Brad Maddox got his a** handed to him this past week at the hands of Ryback.
Now, I’m going to be one of the very few people, I think, who actually support this young kid. I like him. He’s just got something about him. And he’s championship material….

Brad Maddox began his wrestling career in OVW where he was a one time OVW Television Champion and a one time OVW Heavyweight Champion. In August 2010,  he went on to FCW where he was a two-time Florida Tag Team Champion and a one time FCW 15 Champion.
So he’s championship material. No doubt there. But, for most people, his story has just begun….

In August 2012 he got called up to the main roster of WWE where he began as a referee. He had only officiated a couple of matches when he was set to be the referee in the bout of CM Punk vs. Ryback at Hell In A Cell 2012. Ryback looked set to win the bout but Brad had other ideas.

The following RAW, Brad Maddox really introduced himself to the WWE Universe stating that his actions at Hell In A Cell were not to aid Punk at keeping the title, but to get HIMSELF noticed. Because, apparently, he had been told throughout his career that he wouldn’t make it and that he should give up. Well, he had his ticket to superstardom and he was going to ride it for all that it was worth. He asked for a match against Ryback, which, to the surprise of the WWE Universe, Vince McMahon agreed to.
Vince stated that should Brad Maddox win his match, he would get a $1 Million dollar contract to be a superstar in the WWE.
Well, we all know how well that worked out for him.

Now, the rumour going round the ‘Internet Mill’ per say, is that Brad Maddox is a Triple H guy. Which means that he will have a lot of support in terms of developing his character and a lot of resources at his disposal. And, as I said, I like the kid. He’s cute, has the superstar look, and to me just has an “IT” factor. He actually reminds me a lot of Edge and I think if he can take all that negativity that he talks about, turns it around and uses it, who knows, maybe we’re looking at the next big thing. Or, the next ‘Ultimate Opportunist’. He’s already started that ;)

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Have fun and take care.

Lil xoxo
